The National Cancer Institute has reported that men who drink coffee regularly are less likely to develop prostate cancer. A 60 percent reduction in the risk of developing lethal prostate cancer was found in men who drank 6 or more cups of coffee per day. Even 1 to 3 cups of coffee reduced the risk. Four or more cups of coffee per day have also been shown to reduce the incidence of colon cancer. Furthermore, researchers discovered that people who drink coffee are 50 percent less likely to develop liver cancer than their non-drinking counterparts. Additional studies have linked coffee consumption to lower rates of breast and rectal cancer.

Caffè crema (Italian: cream coffee) refers to two different coffee drinks: an old name for espresso (the 1940s and 1950s), and a long espresso drink primarily served in Germany, Switzerland and Austria and northern Italy (the 1980s onwards), along the Italian/ Swiss and Italian/ Austrian border. Café Touba is the spiritual drink of Senegal, named after Cheikh Ahmadou Bamba Mbacké (known as Serigne Touba) and the holy city of Touba in Senegal. During the roasting process, the coffee beans are mixed with grains of selim, and sometimes other spices, and ground into powder after roasting. The drink is prepared using a filter, similar to plain coffee. Sugar is often added before drinking.
Caffeine is a natural stimulant that works in your brain by blocking the effects of adenosine, an inhibitory neurotransmitter  . This increases neuronal firing in the brain and releases other neurotransmitters like norepinephrine and dopamine which improves mood, reduces stress, increases vigilance and reaction time and general brain function  .
This article has inspired me. I’m having a devil of a time leaving the half and half out of my coffee. After reading this, it would seem that all things are possible..even changes with my half and half. So, tomorrow I’m going to try 1 tablespoon half and half, and 1 tablespoon 2% milk. Drinking black coffee in an empty stomach will give the feeling of fullness. Therefore we can consume coffee to briefly reduce the feeling of hunger and the desire to eat. However, consuming coffee with no food at all is strongly forbidden, since it will increase the desire to at even more higher. Taste the coffee black every time before adding cream or sugar- Before you add things to your coffee take a moment to taste it black. Don’t just take a sip, TASTE it. Think about what flavors you are getting out of your coffee and what you like and don’t like. If possible set a little black coffee to the side to taste again once it has cooled to room temperature. You will be surprised how much more pronounced the flavors are once the coffee has cooled a bit.

You made a good point that clicked for me. I used to like my coffee very bold BUT then I added tons of stevia and half and half to mask the taste. Now, I’m starting to drink my coffee black (day 2 – eeek) and your comment made me realize that I don’t actually enjoy bitter tasting coffee – if I did I wouldn’t be adding sweeteners. I started drinking my coffee black on January 1 this year. My goal was to cut dairy from my diet. I’m also a fellow Paleo and I LOVE coconut milk (from the can) in my coffee, with a sprinkle of cinnamon and a drop of vanilla extract.
