I started drinking my coffee black on January 1 this year. My goal was to cut dairy from my diet. I had always liked a particular restaurant coffee so I started buying it at the store and adjusting it to suit my taste. Turns out I like very weak, black coffee, so I make my coffee with few grounds (for now). Maybe on time I will start adding more grounds into the mix, but for now I am enjoying my favorite coffee, black.

Coffee has a bad reputation as an unhealthy drink, but it has lots of interesting attributes which help improve your health by: -acting as a painkiller after workouts, or to ease hangovers -increasing your fiber intake -protecting your liver against unhealthy alcohol intake -lowering your risk of type-2 diabetes, Alzheimers, suicide and depression -strengthening your DNA, and -reducing your risk of cancer.

According to United States Department of Agriculture, a regular cup of back coffee contains only 2 calories. A single shot of espresso even contain only 1 calorie. Coffee is known to be the low calorie beverage which is good to lose weight. Drinking black coffee to an empty stomach can lose weight b simulating the metabolism. It is also supported by the caffeine and antioxidant contained in the black coffee which play role in reducing fat absorption.
Taste the coffee black every time before adding cream or sugar- Before you add things to your coffee take a moment to taste it black. Don’t just take a sip, TASTE it. Think about what flavors you are getting out of your coffee and what you like and don’t like. If possible set a little black coffee to the side to taste again once it has cooled to room temperature. You will be surprised how much more pronounced the flavors are once the coffee has cooled a bit.
Consuming black coffee right after having meal will give the benefits for weight loss. It is possible since drinking coffee after meal will give a sense of fullness, the same feeling when we eat dessert for dinner. However, dessert is commonly made of something sweet and fatty like cheese cake and brownies. Therefore, replacing desert with black coffee is the delicious solution to your weight loss diet.
If you drink your coffee black, you have less to keep track of for your morning pick-me-up. I enjoy my coffee whether there is cream in the fridge and sugar in the pantry or not. I spent 20 years making coffee I didn’t like and putting milk in it to turn it into coffee I did like (I kicked the sugar habit over 25 years ago, realising it was seriously bad for my health).
